The Avalon Garden Club Presents its 40th Annual Flower Show “Here Comes Summer”.

The 40th Annual Avalon Garden Club Flower Show “Here Comes Summer” will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at the Avalon Community Hall, 3001 Avalon Ave., Avalon, NJ. The show will be open to the public 10am to 3pm. Admission is free. Donations are welcome to benefit the Club’s Beautification Projects. All Exhibits will be judged by the attending public as “People’s Choice” between the hours of 10am to 1pm. There will be 7 Artistic Design Exhibits and 12 Horticulture Exhibits. The attending public will be provided with 19 pennies. The public will vote by placing one penny in the coin holder of their favorite entry in each exhibit. All children will be provided with 19 pennies so they can have fun voting. There will be an award ceremony at 2pm at which time the winners will be announced by Avalon Mayor John McCorristin. The Club will also be selling raffle tickets to win one of our many beautiful raffle items. All proceeds of the raffle will benefit Avalon Garden Club’s Beautification Project.

Flower Show Exhbitor Guide

Annual Flower Show June 10, 2023

The 39th Annual Avalon Garden Club Flower Show was held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at the Avalon Community Hall in Avalon. The show was open to the public from 10AM to 3PM. Admission was free.

All Exhibits were judged by the attending Public as “People’s Choice” between the hours of 10AM to 1PM. There were 7 Artistic Design Classes, and 12 Horticulture Classes. The attending Public was provided with 19 pennies. The Public then voted by placing one penny in the coin holder of their favorite exhibit in each class. Children were also provided pennies to vote. Everyone voted for one exhibit in each class. The Award Ceremony was held at 2PM with then Mayor Martin L. Pagliughi presenting awards to “Blue Ribbon” winners.

As a fundraiser for the Club, raffle tickets were also sold to win one of several beautiful raffle items. In addition, the “Public” was extremely generous with their donations at the door.
