If you are a member of Avalon Home Owners & Land Association (AHLOA) you have seen the article below in their January Newsletter.  For those of you that have not, I am sharing the article below to make you aware of the project that is underway in Avalon to develop special events throughout the month of June 2024.

Borough officials, Library management, Chamber leaders, and heads of all Avalon-related community associations are working to finalize plans for Spring into Summer, a special series of entertainment, educational, and cultural events and programs to span the month of June. Spring into Summer is a shared marketing and community initiative supported in part by a grant from the NJ Department of State, Division of Travel and Tourism, to the 7 Mile Business Community Association (7MBCA).

Spring into Summer will combine many existing community events with a large number of new offerings to create a range of activities to draw homeowners and visitors to Avalon in June to help grow shoulder-season engagement across business and community services.

June 2024 will be structured as five themed weekends, each with anchor events, as well as other weekend and weekday activities for all ages. Events will be supported by a range of community organizations, including the Chamber, 7MBCA, the Borough of Avalon, Library & History Center, AHLOA, Environmental Commission, Avalon Garden Club, Avalon Lions, and more.

Although some events are still being solidified with the participating groups, the majority of the schedule is now locked-in, and the theme weekends will be Arts & Music, Explore Nature, Family Fun, Summer Solstice, and Wellness.

Look for additional details and the final Spring into Summer schedule from AHLOA and many other Borough groups in the weeks ahead. Using grant and other community-supported funding, these events will be marketed via a centralized coordinated focus through multiple channels, including AHLOA.
